Nintendo's mobile cash cows, Dragalia Lost and Fire Emblem Heroes, are having a crossover event starting late tonight after a Dragalia Lost update.

Called Fire Emblem: Lost Heroes, this event will take place wholly within Dragalia Lost, featuring characters from Fire Emblem Heroes. The event involves four Fire Emblem protagonists: Alphonse, Marth, Fjorm, and Veronica. Three of these are only found in Fire Emblem Heroes, but most Nintendo fans are likely familiar with Marth in one way or another.

You'll be able to experience new dialogue involving Alphonse and the rest of the heroes. In the trailer below, it also appears that Loki from Heroes will be an antagonist during this event.

This crossover begins after maintenance tonight on April 25, 2019, and lasts through May 14, 2019. The premise of the event is as follows:

Heroes from another world are thrust into the world of Dragalia Lost! As two princes clash, a bewitching emissary launches an attack with the Imperial army. It's the power to open otherworldly gates versus dragonblood in this meeting of two realms. With Heroes, motivations, and alliances intertwined, what will become of this world?
A new quest type comes with this update. Called Defensive Battles, players are tasked with defending their gate from enemy forces. This mode can also be played in co-op with others online.

Additional bonuses during the Fire Emblem: Lost Heroes event include players' stamina consumption cut in half and rewards gained from Avenue to Power is doubled.

To clarify, Fire Emblem Heroes does not have an event within its own game, but it could come in the future given this event. Dragalia Lost can be downloaded on Android and iOS devices for free now, with this update going live after maintenance tonight at 11 p.m. Pacific.

Quick Thoughts

As a daily player of Fire Emblem Heroes, I'd like to see a crossover event within that game itself. I hope that Heroes receives the same treatment soon. With Nintendo expanding its library on mobile devices, what could be next? Animal Crossing and Fire Emblem? Mario and Dragalia Lost? Now those are some things I'd like to see.

Are you going to try out this event as part of the Dragalia Lost update? What other Nintendo crossovers do you want to see? Let us know in the comments below!
