The founders of DotEmu, Xavier Liard and Romain Tisserand, have announced the launch of their new publishing company, Playdigious. Playdigious already has their first project and it's slated for release in the autumn on Nvidia Shield, Android TV, Android Tablets, and iPad. The company's first project is a game called Pix The Cat.

DotEmu is a publishing company geared towards retro video games. Liard and Tisserand sold DotEmu in September of 2014 to a private investor interested in growing the company in line with the founders' vision. The founders left DotEmu in June of 2015 and started their new publishing company Playdigious.

Playdigious is a company geared towards publishing games for the mobile, tablet and TV market. The company aims to be successful by intelligently pairing games, technology and platform with marketing and innovation. Playdigious plans on focusing on Premium games and mid/hardcore Freemium games.

French indie developers Pastagames (Rayman Jungle Run) have paired with Nvidia to bring their retro arcade hit Pix The Cat to Nvidia Shield and other tablets. Pix The Cat is an intense retro-inspired game that will challenge both a player's reflexes and their wits. In the game titular character Pix must navigate the Grid of Infinity while hatching and herding ducklings to safety. This must be done without running into any walls and obstacles. It's a fun and colorful twist on the classic game Snake.

With over one million players on PC and console and an average Metacritic review of 80%,  Pix The Cat  is a perfect fit with our premium product line,” said Xavier Liard, Playdigious’ CEO. “We’re very happy to be working closely with the NVIDIA and Pastagames teams for this first Playdigious project.

Pix The Cat is scheduled to be released this autumn. It will be available to download for Nvidia Shield, Android TV, Android Tablets, and iPad. For more information about Playdigious or their first project Pix The Cat visit their Twitter or Facebook.
