An FAQ detailing information on Update 1.4 for The Division has been posted to the game's official forums. Additionally, a special testing group called the Elite Task Force has been announced.

Update 1.4 will be released simultaneously on Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PC. The update will be free. Survival is expected to be released before the end of the year, although the developers stress that they are focusing on Update 1.4 and cannot yet provide an exact release date for Survival. Last Stand has been postponed until early 2017.

The update seeks to address a number of issues with the game. Bug fixes, as well as some of the game's existing known issues, are being worked on. A number of gameplay issues are being looked at such as enemy difficulty and time to kill, making loot drops more relevant for the player, and rebalancing for the Dark Zone and PvP. Quality of life suggestions are also being taken under consideration; one given example was the suggestion that weapon skins no longer take up inventory space.

Players are advised to post any suggestions they might have to the game's Suggestions and Features subforum. Additionally, the developers will be monitoring Reddit and other spaces where players chat about the game. However, a small subset of fans will have the opportunity to fly out to Massive Entertainment AB's headquarters and give their feedback in person.

The Elite Task Force is an open call for "anyone within the community that wants to be a part of critical workshops and discussions" to come to Malmö, Sweden on the company's dime. Successful applicants will be flown out to Sweden and quartered in a local hotel. Food will also be provided. The Elite Task Force's sessions will take place from September 7-9, 2016. Visitors will be selected based on subjective criteria. Applicants must be over the age of 18, fluent in English, and able to travel to Sweden. All applications will be confidential. If you're interested in joining the Elite Task Force you can fill out the application form here.

If you're like to keep up with the latest information about Update 1.4 for The Division the developers will be doing weekly updates as articles as well as livestreams.
