Ubisoft has released The Division 2 update 12.1, which includes a Resident Evil crossover and next-generation features. The crossover has Racoon City sending "their best and brightest to answer the call in D.C. and New York City", with crossover apparel launching alongside a newly revamped Reanimated Crossover Event. There are new outfits available through apparel keys along with 7 new back trophies and 4 patches that will celebrate Resident Evil

In order to get the patches and the trophies, the level 40 BOO daily projects have been replaced with S.T.A.R.S. Support and S.T.A.R.S. Assault projects, with one of the two available each day. Each project will reward 2 new patches or trophies each day until the full set has been collected.

For those that have completed the Reanimated Global Event before, the green cloud produced by killing enemies with a headshot won't hurt players anymore. Instead, it will heal players and give them a boost to their firepower while standing within it. For enemies, it will significantly harm them.

There are Optimization Station changes that players should also be aware of. Optimization costs have been reduced by 75% and optimization material crafting recipes by 50%. Ubisoft made these changes because they want players to be able to "afford to optimize their weapons and gear about once an hour", although for some it may take two to optimize the final tear of many items.

As for the next-gen patch for the Xbox Series X|S and PlayStation 5, the game now has 4K 60 FPS support, which is pretty sweet considering the game is less than two years old. It's going to look pretty good while you frag enemies around DC.
