The Disney Speedstorm platforms have been revealed -- this upcoming Disney-themed racing game will be coming to pretty much all major modern platforms.

First revealed earlier this yearDisney Speedstorm is an upcoming free-to-play racing game that features characters from media produced by Disney and Pixar. This initial announcement was made during a Nintendo Direct, so the only platform confirmed at the time was the Nintendo Switch. Now, the full list of platforms has been revealed and it looks like you'll be able to play this upcoming racing game on pretty much anything.

What Are the Disney Speedstorm Platforms?

Here are the Disney Speedstorm platforms according to today's announcement (via Reddit):

  • PC (via Steam and Epic Games Store)
  • PlayStation 5
  • PlayStation 4
  • Xbox Series X|S
  • Xbox One
  • Nintendo Switch

As you can see from the above list, this game will be available on most major modern machines. There are, of course, a handful of notable exceptions -- it doesn't look like the game will be arriving on Android or iOS (at least at launch). There's no word about the potential for a release on Mac, Linux, or Google Stadia, either.

Platforms news aside, the Disney Speedstorm devs recently announced a new addition to the roster:

Mowgli from The Jungle Book will be one of the many racers available at launch. That's one more racer added to a roster that includes Sully from Monsters Inc., Captain Jack Sparrow from Pirates of the Caribbean, and, naturally, the main man Mickey Mouse himself.

Sadly, the one thing we still don't yet have is a firm release date. For now, you can pre-register for Disney Speedstorm via its official website and get a chance to be one of the first people to play this Disney-themed racing game when it launches sometime later in 2022.
