Diplomacy is Not an Option update has just arrived, bringing with it five new units, a new building, new skills, and much more. There's a lot to get into, so let's take a look at the new A Diplomacy is Not an Option update, shall we?

What's new in Diplomacy is Not an Option?

The biggest and most exciting inclusions in this new update are the five new units. There are the two infantry units, Foot Knights, who are infantrymen in heavy armor and who serve as an excellent rearguard, and Axe Warriors, who are good at attacking. Horse Archers can move fast and shoot from the saddle, but they can only attack properly when stopped. Mounted Knights are the heavy cavalry version of Foot Knights and are a little faster and more powerful. The most powerful unit of them all is the Burrdam Chimera, which is a wagon that explodes when the engineer driving it lights the fuse.

Things can get quite explosive.

What new building has been added in this Diplomacy is Not an Option update?

This new Diplomacy is Not an Option update adds the Stable, a building in which you can train cavalry units. New skills added to the game give Archers and Swordsmen a boost, with Archers receiving a temporary increase in attack speed and Swordsmen receiving an increase in damage and movement speed. Swordsmen have also gained a chance to dodge a single attack. If this skill is activated then the Swordsman will die, which is pretty metal.

Other inclusions include a new research tree, which will improve some of your warriors' attributes, unlock some skills, and let you enhance spells. Originally, developer Door 407 had planned to include some content improving economics in the late game stages of Diplomacy, but that content has been postponed for a future update.

Speaking of economics, Stone and Iron mines have received a boost to total resource extraction, as well as how much can be extracted per unit. The market interface has been improved, and its storage has also been taken away. If, in a previous save, you have a market with storage, these items can still be managed, so don't worry.

If you're the type of player that likes to see what's going on, there's a handy new statistics panel that will give you detailed information about your settlement, so be sure to use that. Last but not least, there are some improvements to the way builders function. Their logic has been improved; they now give preference to their places of work nearby, so they won't go from one end of town to another looking for a job.
