Diplomacy is Not an Option

Diplomacy is Not an Option is a tower defense sandbox where players are placed in the boots of a feudal lord that has to protect their castle from a horde of enemies. It's done quite well for itself so far with a Very Positive 90% rating on Steam, and now that it's been out for a few days it's time to talk about the future. The Diplomacy is Not an Option roadmap includes a lot for players to look forward to, and is separated in three different tiers: In the nearest future, later on, and full-launch. Let's take a look at it, shall we?

What's in the Diplomacy is Not an Option Roadmap?

In the nearest future, players can look forward to more balancing for the missions so that those of different skill levels will be able to play. There will also be new map presets to the endless mode, such as one that's almost without attacking waves so players can work on their city and avoid tense battles, and a preset so that royal forces are the main enemy. There's more to come, but those are main two that are coming for now along with some bug fixing and polishing.

Later on players will receive improved map generation, new language support, and a new branch to the research tree that's related with University. There will be a visual improvement to the mountain models, more difficulty levels, and new in-game mechanics and features. There isn't anything to announce yet, but they're coming. The UI (increasing the font and UI scaling) and UX (troop placement for walls and towers) will be improved, a photo mode will hide the UI for screenshots, achievements will be added, and there will be more bug fixing and polishing.

Full-launch will include a single-player campaign with 12 missions. 3 are already available in the EA version, and players can expect to see new factions with bosses in their roster, and new unique enemies not belonging to any faction. There will be more presets for the endless mode, a new puzzle-mode game type, a map editor, and more features, buildings, and in-game mechanics.
