Today Blizzard Entertainment released new details about the open beta of its upcoming RPG Diablo 4.
The announcement shares the specific times for the early access available to pre-orders and the beta proper.
- Early Access to the Open Beta begins March 17 at 9 a.m. PST and concludes March 20 at 12 p.m. PST.
- The Open Beta begins March 24 at 9 a.m. PST and concludes March 27 at 12 p.m. PST.
Pre-download will be available closer to the beginning of both phases.
The classes available will be Barbarian, Rogue, and Sorcerer. You'll be able to create up to 10 accounts per Battle.net account. The level cap is 25 and progress will transfer between early access and beta, but all characters will be deleted afterward. Progress won't transfer to the full game.
Couch co-op will be available and only one player will need access in order for both to be able to play during the early access phase. 4-player online co-op will also be available but all four players will need to have their own personal access to the early access phase to play between March 17 and March 20.
Beating demons into a pulp near another player will net you a 5% experience bonus, while it'll be 10% if you're close to another member of your party.
Participating in the open beta will also grant you rewards as follows:
- Initial Casualty Title: earned by reaching Kyovashad with one character.
- Early Voyager Title: earned by reaching Level 20 on one character.
- Beta Wolf Pack Cosmetic Item: earned by reaching Level 20 on one character.
