The upcoming Devil May Cry 3 Nintendo Switch release is going to have "a little something extra" for longtime fans of the franchise, producer Matt Walker says.

The first Devil May Cry game was announced to be coming to the Nintendo Switch back in May of last year. Since then, we've learned that more games from the franchise are coming to Nintendo's hybrid handheld console, the next one being Devil May Cry 3 Special Edition.

Of course, it's going to include all of the things we loved (and hated) about the original. Apparently, though, we'll also be getting some kind of unspecified new content in this latest port of the adventures of Dante.

What is this Devil May Cry 3 Nintendo Switch Mystery All About?

As DualShockers reports, Producer Matt Walker took to the official Devil May Cry Twitter to talk about what we can expect to see in the Nintendo Switch version of Devil May Cry 3.

I gotta tell ya, personally, I'm really excited about this Itsuno masterpiece finally come to Switch. Because I've always been a big fan of being able to take my Switch, play it on my TV, and then switch into portable mode and take that with me wherever I go.

That's not all, though — we know that this game holds a very special place in all of your hearts and so we wanted to show our appreciation. I guess you could say that we were feeling a little... motivated to add a little something extra that we think you're all really gonna like.

Now, what exactly that "little something extra" might be is a mystery. Apparently, more information will be arriving in the coming weeks as Mr. Walker listed three dates that we should keep our eyes on for more news:

  • January 16, 2020
  • January 30, 2020
  • February 13, 2020

You'll be able to get the Devil May Cry 3 Nintendo Switch Edition when it launches on February 20, 2020.

What do you think the "little something extra" for Devil May Cry 3 Special Edition will be? What's your favorite game in the DMC franchise? Let us know in the comments below!
