A dev build of Ubisoft's upcoming game Gods & Monsters has reportedly leaked on Google Stadia for a brief time, allowing a few lucky members of the public.

If you're not too familiar with this game, check out the Gods & Monsters E3 2019 trailer to get a quick refresher on this game that was announced a year ago:

A thread on the ResetEra gaming forum shows off a handful of pictures that reportedly show a development build of the game. Our header image shows what appears to be the main character standing in a massive plaza overlooking a town. Below that, we see the same character standing amongst a field of stars with a tooltip on the screen. The final of the three images shows a temple in the distance on a hill and not much else in the way of detail.

According to the report, the Gods & Monsters leak apparently shares a lot of assets with Assassin's Creed Odyssey. That shouldn't be a surprise for an in-development game, but it does give us an indication that it may still be very early in its development.

The last item of note is that there is apparently Breath of the Wild-style climbing in the game. No other significant information was revealed in the post.

When is the Gods & Monsters Release Date?

Considering the state of development seen in this reported leak, when will be able to get our hands on Gods & Monsters?

Unfortunately, we can't use this leak alone as a measure of the progress of the game. Although this is a leak of a development build, we can't say if this is the most recent build or if it's just an earlier one that was being used for Stadia testing.

Either way, Gods & Monsters is expected to arrive sometime later in 2020. You can learn more about it at its official website.
