A number of Destiny 2 Shadowkeep class changes are on the way. A number of buffs and nerfs are coming to the game's subclasses,  making for one of the more drastic shifts in the game's balance of power. While some of these changes will be celebrated and others will be derided, do keep in mind that games like Destiny 2 are constantly being tuned. Let's go ahead and highlight some of the winners and losers in this round of balance changes!

Destiny 2 Shadowkeep Class Changes Highlights

To start, Nightstalker is going to be made into a more viable scouting class. This is accomplished first and foremost with a change to Vanish; this smoke bomb will now grant invisibility to allies. Provision will also buff your friends in a new way, granting them increased agility, armor, and recovery when allies kill a tethered enemy.

Nightstalker won't just be getting status buffs in the Destiny 2 Shadowkeep class changes, mind. Moebius Quiver can now deal massive damage to tethered targets and both the Top and Bottom path of Shadowshot Super has had its damage increased from 150 to 250.

Sentinel Code of the Protector is also getting some buffs that can apply to your friends. Defensive Strike can create an overshield for your allies, Rallying Force heals nearby allies when you score a melee kill, and Ward of Dawn is an alternate super that creates a shield bubble.

It's not all buffs in this round of class changes, though! Several nerfs are also working their way into the game. To start, the damage sharing from Nightstalker Way of the Trapper's Shadowshot has been reduced from 100% to 50%. Nightstalker Way of the Wraith's Truesight has been hit with what could arguably be called a "sledgehammer nerf", decreasing its duration by 66% from 9 seconds down to 3 seconds.

There's plenty more to see in the official patch notes detailing the Destiny 2 Shadowkeep class changes, and these are far from the only changes that we'll see before the end of the year. If you don't yet already own Destiny 2 you can pre-purchase it on Steam, although you might just want to wait for it to go free-to-play later this month.
