The Deliver Us the Moon next-gen release date has been delayed to next month. Additionally, developer KeokeN Interactive has released the first dev diary for the sequel Deliver Us Mars.
Deliver Us the Moon is a first-person action-adventure game that puts players in the shoes of an astronaut in the near future. The world has been ravaged by ecological disaster and it has depended on a power station on the Moon to provide Earth with energy. Unfortunately, that station has gone offline without explanation -- and it's up to you to go to the moon and find out what's wrong.
The initial launch of Deliver Us the Moon made the unfortunate decision to end the story at the midway point. This was later corrected with an update that closed out the story and provided a fairly entertaining experience all around. A next-gen version has been in the works for a while now, but it looks like we're going to have to wait a little longer to play it.
When is the Deliver Us the Moon Next-Gen Release Date?
The Deliver Us the Moon next-gen release date is June 23, 2022; the game will launch on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S on that date.
"The next-gen update to #DeliverUsTheMoon is now landing on June 23rd giving additional dev time to prepare the definitive version of the game, allowing for a final polish before we prepare for lift off!" read a tweet from the game's official account (via TrueAchievements).

Aside from the Deliver Us the Moon next-gen release date delay, KeokeN Interactive has also recently released its first dev diary for the Deliver Us the Moon sequel Deliver Us Mars.
"[Deliver Us Mars] is the ambitious sequel to Deliver Us the Moon," explained KeokeN Interactive Founder, CEO, and Game Director Koen Deetman in the first developer diary. "[It's been] ten years since the Fortuna Mission. There is a secret distress call coming in from Mars and that's where the Zephyr Crew will take off, finding out what is actually going on there."
As you might expect, Deliver Us Mars sends a team of astronauts to Mars in order to retrieve a technology that could help make life much easier on Earth. New mechanics will build on the gameplay of the original including a new climbing mechanic.
When is the Deliver Us Mars Release Date?
The Deliver Us Mars release date has not yet been announced. However, the Steam Store API release date is set for the end of 2022 according to SteamDB, so it looks like KeokeN Interactive might try to get this sequel out before the end of the year.
