During the Level-5 Vision 2023 presentation, the developer provided another look at Decapolice
The game was originally announced during the previous Nintendo Direct, and today we get to see more about it, including hints to the story, gameplay mechanics, and the characters we'll meet in this beautifully animated adventure.
Interestingly, part of the game is set within an alternate virtual reality named "Decasim" where a dangerous hacker has replaced the character data of the protagonists with that of toys. We also got to take a look at investigation gameplay, which will see the player investigate and connect the clues and identify the culprits. We'll also have to fight off any resistance in typical turn-based JRPG fashion.
Interestingly, Decapolice will be released as a cross-media franchise, which means we'll also likely get an anime at some point.
