Recently, Capcom announced that a myriad of improvements are coming to Dead Rising 4. Players can look forward to Human Enemy Improvements, Distress Calls, and other improvements such as a new mode on December 5.
Human Enemy Improvements include changes to Maniacs, who will have new weapons that suit the character with improved AI to provide a greater challenge to players. Capcom notes that some Maniacs will have new 'Minions' that will make the encounters more difficult. Human AI, in general, will also better utilize cover, block attacks with shields, and countering players who keep repeating a single attack.
Distress Calls are six new "memorable" side missions that will allow Frank to answer and help survivors by completing tasks for them. Once this task is accomplished, Frank will escort the survivor and protect them until they make their way to a safe location. Each of these new side missions will give players different variations of Frank's outfits for completing them successfully.
Other improvements include increased controller responsiveness, increased attack speed, faster zombie horde awareness with more aggressive pursuit, rebalanced weapon distribution, improved zombie AI, and mission tuning to even out the difficulty.
Last but not least, a new mode, Capcom Heroes, will be released along with all these improvements on December 5 with the PS4 release, which is called Dead Rising 4: Frank's Big Package. For those who already own Dead Rising 4, the improvements will be free.

Quick Take:It's good to see Capcom continuing support of Dead Rising 4, even with its middling to worse(like ours) reviews and it's "underwhelming" sales. Perhaps I'll pick it up soon then when it's on sale around Halloween. We'll see.
