Dead Island 2 is right around the corner and publisher Deep Silver and developer Dambuster Studios have released the launch trailer a few days before the actual release.
The trailer can be watched on YouTube (we can't embed it because it's apparently too violent and mommy Google wants to make sure you're over 18), and it comes with all the blood and gore that you can expect from the game.
Following a plane crash caused by the zombie apocalypse, one of our heroes tries to rescue another passenger but gets bitten in the process. Yet, he soon finds out that he's immune, so it's time to start killing some zombies... or some thousands.
The trailer provides a look at the story and then moves on to gameplay, so we get the best of both worlds.
Dead Island 2 is coming on April 28, 2023, for Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, and on PC, but the PC version will be available only on the Epic Games Store.
If you’re unfamiliar with this title, it was presumed dead after many years under the radar. Yet, the rumors of its demise were greatly exaggerated, as it was re-revealed at Gamescom in 2022. The game was announced all the way back in 2014, and it's finally coming out this year, nine years after, following a change of developer. That's a hell of a trip.
