The Dead Cells: The Queen and The Sea release date has been revealed: you'll be able to play this new Dead Cells DLC in early January 2022.
Dead Cells is no stranger to post-launch updates; most recently, it's launched a training room and a crossover with Hollow Knight. Motion Twin has also launched a fair amount of paid DLC such as Bad Seed and Fatal Falls. Another new DLC package has been announced called The Queen and The Sea -- and now, we finally know when we'll be able to play it.
All About the Dead Cells: The Queen and The Sea DLC
Dead Cells: The Queen and The Sea DLC will be a welcome addition for veteran players, offering up an alternative to the late-game content in the High Peak Castle, Derelict Distillery, and Throne Room biomes.
Here are the new biomes on the way:
Infested Shipwreck: Fight through the claustrophobic hallways of a sunken vessel, while multi-legged eldritch abominations hunt you from the shadows.
Lighthouse: Ascend this soaring tower while fending off the relentless attacks of the Queen’s Guardians and outrunning the hungry flames rising from below.
The Crown: Try to get off this cursed island by lighting the beacon at the lighthouse summit. However, your past won’t let you go without a fight...
Of course, this DLC also features the titular queen as a boss fight in The Crown biome. Players can also look forward to the usual extra goodies including 9 new weapons (including, of all things, a throwable shark), new outfits, a "not-so-cute" pet, and a bunch of new enemies to fight.
