Hollywood and video games have been colliding more and more over the past few years, and Dead by Daylight's developer Behaviour Interactive shared a tease featuring a high-profile cameo.
Apparently, popular actor Nicolas Cage of Renfield, Face/Off, and Con Air fame will make an appearance in the game. At the moment, it isn't clear exactly what role he'll play, but we do know that more details will be shared on July 5.
That's just a few days before the debut on the silver screens of Cage's new psychological horror film Sympathy for the Devil, so it's possible that this is related to the new movie. Cage has been starring in multiple horror films as of late, so it certainly makes sense for him to play a role in a popular horror game.
If you're unfamiliar with it, Dead by Daylight is currently available for basically everything: PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, iOS, and Android. The game has been around for quite some time following its original PC release in 2016.
Dead by Daylight is a multiplayer action/horror game where one player plays the role of a Killer, while the other four play as Survivors. The Killer's objective is to sacrifice as many Survivors as possible, while the Survivors must collaborate to evade, escape, and ultimately stay alive at the end of the match.
