Behaviour Interactive and 505 Games have announced Dead By Daylight Nightmare Edition, a brand-new physical release of this asymmetric survival horror game.
In Dead By Daylight, players have the option to play one of two roles. The Survivors are trapped in a terrifying scene straight out of your favorite horror movies, surrounded by deadly traps and stalked by some sort of scary monster. On the other side is the monster itself — a creepy creature tasked with hunting down all of the Survivors before they're able to make their escape.
The game has been out for some time now and has seen a fair bit of post-launch content released. Now, three of those pieces of content are being packaged together in a physical edition of the game according to a press release from the publisher.
Stranger Things Chapter Included in Dead By Daylight Nightmare Edition
Three different "chapters" are being included in the Nightmare Edition; each represents its own unique scenario with a terrifying murderer hunting down the players. Here are the chapters included in the physical release:
From the game's third year of content, Shattered Bloodline has the Survivors pursued by the Japanese spirit Yamoka. Her power is Yamaoka's Haunting which essentially allows her to teleport around the map, sight unseen.
If you're afraid of clowns, then Curtain Call will be your literal nightmare. The Clown is a surprisingly fast fat man who uses noxious tonics to disorient and slow escaping Survivors.
Based on the hit Netflix series, the Stranger Things chapter adopts the show's themes and plot to this survival horror experience. The Demogorgon pursues Nancy Wheeler, Steve Harrington, and the other Survivors as they try to escape the Underground Complex below Hawkins National Laboratory.
While one might hope that the Dead By Daylight Nightmare Edition release is coming before Halloween, that just isn't the case. Instead, it will be hitting stores for the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One on Tuesday, December 10, 2019, at the price of $39.99 or your regional equivalent.
If you don't want to wait to get the game, you can instead pick it up at half price on Steam for $9.99 as part of the Steam Halloween Sale 2019. Act fast, though — the sale ends on November 1st!
