The Dead by Daylight Halloween event has just launched, and is called The Midnight Grove, which will run from October 21 to November 4, 2021. It's predictable but also welcome because when you have a horror online game, you expect a Halloween event. I think it would be more noteworthy if Dead by Daylight didn't have a Halloween event this year, eh?
Anyways, the event has just started, and it will introduce a new survivor, Mikaela Reid, into the Fog. There will also be special content in Entity's Realm that includes rewards, challenges, an atmosphere that's apparently "extra-eerie", and stories written by Mikaela herself. This is only available for a limited time during the event.

There are also some jack-o-lanterns scattered about around the map. When you smash them (because why wouldn't you?) you get to complete specific Event Tome challenges while also earning Bloodpoints. You can also roll the dice for a small trick or use the minor speed buff/debuff that's given to you. Survivors and Killers can both find and interact with the pumpkins. If you complete the challenges across The Observer’s Auris Web, you'll unlock the stories that Mikaela Reid wrote for the Endless Halloween festival.
Tome IX: Crescendo is available as part of this event, and it includes three brand-new tales from Dead By Daylight. Interestingly, for the first time two of the stories will intersect with each other, with different perspectives being shown of one event. You'll see All-Kill's Trickster and Yun-Jin lee as an abduction that creates two separate journeys for each other. Their relationship will be put to the test during this Tome, so be sure to check it out if you want to find out what happens.
What rewards will I earn for the Dead by Daylight Halloween Event?
There's a bunch of neat things you can earn during the event. There's the Mikaela Reid: Witching Hour Outfit that was worn before her disappearance into the fog, and The Doctor: The Transplant Outfit that was the result of an experiment that almost drove The Doctor mad.
Charms include the Sheet Ghost Wraith, the Nea Scarecrow, and the Black Cat w/ Witch Hat. If you login during the event and enter the Entity's Realm during the event, you'll receive a reward 666,666 Bloodpoints. Spooky.
If you want to get spooked, the is available as a free trial from October 21 - October 25, and the in-game store will have a 50% sale on all characters prior to the Resident Evil Chapter, with those characters available for 20% off. All previously released Halloween outfits are at 75% off and all the deals will last until October 31st at midnight. If you want to pick up the Stranger Things content as well, you'll have to do so before they're gone on November 17, 2021, so be sure to check them out if you're interested.
