Behaviour Interactive has announced that a Dead by Daylight Five Nights at Freddy's crossover is on the way, although it's a fair ways off at the moment.
According to a post on the official Dead by Daylight X (formerly known as Twitter) account, the crossover is set to arrive in the popular multiplayer horror game in summer next year, which seems an awful long time to wait.
That's all you're getting for now: confirmation that the worlds of Dead by Daylight and Five Nights at Freddy's are crossing over, and a rough release window of "summer 2025". You'll have to wait a little while for more, it seems.
Of course, we can speculate about what exactly might make its way to Dead by Daylight from Five Nights at Freddy's.
It's probably not a stretch to assume that Freddy Fazbear will be added as a killer, and we may well see a couple of the other animatronics as well. Some of the main characters of the games could also be added as survivors.
Given how far off the collaboration is, we might also be getting a new map or something equally substantial. After all, it seems a little strange to make players wait a whole year for just a new killer or survivor.
At any rate, it's probably going to be a while before we hear more about the Dead by Daylight Five Nights at Freddy's crossover, but don't worry; there's plenty of other stuff to keep you occupied in the meantime.
Lots of other franchises have recently made their way into Dead by Daylight, including Tomb Raider, Dungeons & Dragons, and Alan Wake, so there's no shortage of icons from outside the game's world to keep you busy.
What's more, if you want to take a break from Dead by Daylight but still want to remain immersed in the game's extensive lore, then you'll be pleased to know the release date for story-based spinoff The Casting of Frank Stone was recently revealed, and it's landing next month.
