Dead By Daylight Chapter 26, Forged in Fog, will get all medieval on you with a new killer in The Knight and a new survivor in Vittorio Toscano, a scholar who's searching for wisdom. Dead by Daylight Chapter 26 will also include a new map, The Shattered Square, which is a village that's been sacked by The Knight and his Guards. While it might not be as scary as the Sadako Rising update or the PUBG crossover from earlier this month, if you're still in the mood for spooky thrills, it looks like Forged in Fog will try its best to fit the bill.
As for what you can expect from the new killer, there's some interesting lore and a terrifying power you can use. Basically, The Knight has gained the undying allegiance of three guards: The Carnifex, The Assassin, and The Jailer. This leads in nicely to his Power, Guardia Compagnia, which will allow you to create a Patrol Path and summon an AI-controlled Guard to survey and patrol, hunt and chase survivors, and damage pallets and generators. Each Guard will have their own special power but only one can be used at a time, so choose wisely. They're also not a replacement for the killer, but they're definitely a good resource that you should use.
As for the survivor, Vittorio Toscano, he has a thirst for knowledge that he wants to use to bring peace and harmony to the world. It's a noble goal, and he's being rewarded for his nobility by being chased around by The Knight, who he once hired as his protector during an expedition. Their relationship eventually turned sour, so you'll be able to see how both survivor and killer interact with each other as you also learn why Vittorio Toscano's body is covered in strange glowing symbols that glow with arcane energy.
