The Dauntless Untamed Wilds update has arrived, bringing a big new Behemoth for players to fight. Dauntless Patch 1.4.0 also features the launch of new story quests, new missions, and a heck of a lot more.

Dauntless is a free-to-play co-op game developed by Phoenix Labs and published by Epic Games. Created by former Riot Games developers, this game has a band of surviving humans taking on monstrous Behemoths after mankind suffered a catastrophe that nearly resulted in its extinction.

Now, Dauntless Patch 1.4.0 has arrived with some new content for players to enjoy! Check out the Dauntless Untamed Wilds Launch Trailer to see some of the new stuff in motion:

What's New in the Dauntless Untamed Wilds Update?

The first and most notable addition to the game is the new Agarus Behemoth. This massive fungal foe is accessed via an Escalation Hunt and can reward players with legendary Agarus Weapons and Agarus Armor.

Also arriving in the Dauntless Untamed Wilds update is a new type of hunt: Missions. These hunts are all about unfolding more of Dauntless' story and will have you teaming up with allies on "narrative-focused" adventures.

New enemies demand new strategies, and you'll certainly have some cool new toys to play with, too. The new "Parasitic" defense cell delays a portion of the damage you take and converts it into damage over time. You'll also gain lifesteal while you're sustaining this DoT, giving you a chance to get back into the fight if you're running low on health.

These are just the highlights of what's new in the Dauntless Untamed Wilds update; read the full Dauntless 1.4.0 patch notes for all the fine details. If you haven't yet tried out this game, you can play Dauntless for free on PC and consoles via its official website.
