HYPEX is well-known on Twitter for Fortnite news and he had a rather surprising discovery to share — data miners have discovered that a Fortnite Will Smith skin is likely on the way.
Fortnite is a Battle Royale that's well-known for crossovers with other media franchises. It's also had its fair share of real-world celebrities in the game, most recently with the debut of character skins based on Ariana Grande and her style. Now, it looks like the Fresh Prince himself is coming to the game soon, too!
The tweet from HYPEX also gives a nod to @Not0fficer and @suzanfischh for their help with this discovery. The skin shows a stylishly dressed Will Smith equipped with a backpack and several weapons on his person.
Fortnite has had its fair share of issues lately, most recently with the disabling of an emote due to a rather unfortunate glitch. The reveal of this skin is pretty great, but what's even more interesting is the news that this isn't the only new surprise on the way.
When is the Fortnite Will Smith Skin Release Date?
Unfortunately, there are not yet any details about the Fortnite Will Smith skin release date. Considering the level of quality shown in the model, I imagine that it won't be too long before we'll get to use it in-game.
Fortnite Rick and Morty Skin and "Janky" Skin Also On the Way
HYPEX wasn't quite done just yet, though — he also revealed that a Fortnite Rick and Morty skin was on the way, again crediting @Not0fficer and @suzanfischh for their help.
The Fortnite Rick and Morty skin shows Morty piloting a battle mech, serving as an excellent partner for Rick. It uses a cartoonish style and features a Meeseeks Cube in a backpack on the back of the mech. However, this particular design looks a little bit janky, and I'm not quite sure how it would actually look in the game.
When is the Fortnite Rick and Morty Skin Release Date?
As with the Will Smith skin, the Fortnite Rick and Morty Skin release date has not yet been revealed.
HYPEX had two more things to reveal: it looks like Guggimon's friend Janky is coming to the game in the future, too, along with a new Ninja Wolf skin. (As before, he credited @Not0fficer and @suzanfischh for their assistance with these reveals.) In total, that makes four skin reveals in a few short minutes, each of which has a different style and is from very different areas of entertainment.
Do keep in mind, however, that these skin reveals were discovered via datamining. We can't say that these are coming to the game with 100% certainty until Epic Games give them the official nod. For now, there's still plenty of fun to be had in Epic Games' popular Battle Royale; you can play Fortnite for free on PC and consoles via its official website.
