Red Hook Studios has locked in the Darkest Dungeon 2 release date -- you'll be able to play the sequel to this challenge turn-based RPG just in time for Halloween.
Darkest Dungeon 2 was first teased by Red Hook Studios more than two years ago. The franchise continued to grow with the announcement of a board game, and the developers later confirmed that this Darkest Dungeon sequel was going to be an Epic Games Store exclusive.
The Darkest Dungeon games challenge players to assemble a team of heroes and charge into battle against fearsome monsters. That's not your only enemy, though; you'll have to deal with psychological effects that could be a detriment to your party. It can be a supremely challenging (and highly compelling) experience, so the news of a sequel isn't much of a surprise to anyone who's been following the game.
We haven't heard much about the game in recent months other than the vague notion of a 2021 release date. Now, Red Hook Studios has finally confirmed that you'll be able to dive into the world of Darkest Dungeon 2 late next month.
When is the Darkest Dungeon 2 Release Date?
The Darkest Dungeon 2 release date is October 26, 2021, according to a tweet on the game's official account. The game will be launching on PC as an Epic Games Store exclusive.
You'll be able to play the next great game in the Darkest Dungeon franchise in a little more than a month. In the meantime, you can add Darkest Dungeon 2 to your wishlist on the Epic Games Store. If you haven't yet played the original, you can pick it up for 85% off on Steam.
