Dark Rose Valkyrie

Dark Rose Valkyrie will be released internationally on PC via Steam on April 10th, publishers Idea Factory have confirmed.

The Steam version of the game will offer the option to toggle Japanese and traditional Chinese subtitles. As well as this, the game will be discounted by 20% during its initial release week. A "Complete Deluxe Set" version of the game will also be available, containing the game, all DLC, and bonus content including art collections and PC desktop wallpapers. The Complete Deluxe Set version will, according to Idea Factory, be offered at a permanent 10% discount.

Dark Rose Valkyrie takes place in an alternate-history version of Japan circa 1929. Humanity has fallen victim to a virus called Chimera, which claimed 3% of the world's population during the initial outbreak. Players take control of ACID (Anti-Chimera Interception Division), an elite military force assembled by Japan to combat the virus and save the world. Gameplay is split between more traditional JRPG-style exploration and combat, and visual novel sections reminiscent of Ace Attorney in which players must examine witness statements and find contradictions.

The game shares scenario writer Takumi Miyajima, as well as character designer Kosuke Fujishima, with some of the installments in Namco Bandai's Tales series. Developer Compile Heart is well-known in JRPG circles for its Hyperdimension Neptunia and Record of Agarest War games.

There's no word yet on when players will be able to pre-order Dark Rose Valkyrie from the Steam store. The game will be released on April 10th for Steam. While pricing hasn't been announced for the PC release, it currently retails for $49.99 on the PlayStation Network, giving a likely price area for the version to arrive at. Dark Valkyrie Rose released in 2017 for PlayStation 4 in western markets.
