If you've been looking forward to Spike Chunsoft's detective adventure on your phone, a Danganronpa V3 mobile delay may not be what you want to hear. Unfortunately, that's exactly what's happening, according to an announcement from the developer.
What's the reason for the Danganronpa V3 mobile delay?
You can read the full, albeit brief, announcement by Spike Chunsoft right here (note: it's in Japanese, so we're using machine translation). In the announcement, Spike Chunsoft apologizes for the delay (thanks, SiliconEra). The game was originally intended to launch on Wednesday this week, but that will no longer be happening. Spike Chunsoft says it found a "major defect" in the final checking process, and although we don't know what that defect was, it's clear it was grave enough to put the brakes on the entire release.

Unfortunately, we don't know when the game will be coming to mobile platforms now. In the original announcement, Spike Chunsoft says it will let fans know when it's ready to launch the game. Given that we don't know the nature of the "defect", it could take a little while to fix, so don't bank on the game arriving on your iPhone or your Android device this week.
What can we expect from the Danganronpa V3 mobile version?
As you might expect, Danganronpa V3: Killing Harmony on mobile devices will be a full port of the original game. It'll feature Japanese and English voice options, as well as subtitles in English, Japanese, and Traditional Chinese. It'll also have a reworked user interface to be more friendly for mobile, just like the first two games in the series, which launched on mobile devices last year.

Danganronpa V3: Killing Harmony is the third (and, at time of writing, final) instalment in the main Danganronpa series of detective-themed visual novel/adventure games. It introduces several new features to the series, including the ability to lie in trials, two new minigames, and more. The game also focuses on a completely new set of characters as they try to find a way out of the school in which they've been trapped. You can grab it right now on Steam and PlayStation 4 (the latter of which is also playable on PS5 thanks to backwards compatibility).
