There's a new The Cycle: Frontier closed beta on the way. If you've been waiting for a chance to try out Yager's PvPvE shooter, you can sign up right now to be part of the beta on Steam or the Epic Store. It'll kick off in mid-March.
What do we know about this new The Cycle: Frontier closed beta?
The first The Cycle: Frontier closed beta took place late last year, and now Yager is giving you another opportunity to get involved and test out its new game. This new beta will feature brand new faction campaigns, new in-game activities to try out, and new monster variations to battle. Yager has also reworked both the Crescent Falls and Bright Sands maps to improve traversal and overhaul their visuals. You can check out the brand new trailer for the upcoming The Cycle: Frontier closed beta right here.
If you want to sign up, all you have to do is head over to the Steam or Epic Games Store page for the game, depending on which platform you want to play on. If you're using Steam, just click "Request Access", and you'll be notified if Yager chooses you to try out its game. On the Epic Store, you simply need to fill out the form we've linked above. Either way, make sure to sign up if you're interested in checking this one out.
What is The Cycle: Frontier?
The Cycle: Frontier began life as simply The Cycle, which launched back in 2019. Although the name is the same, the original game was described as a "competitive quest shooter" by Yager and featured more battle royale-adjacent mechanics, while Frontier's gameplay is more "high-stakes PvPvE FPS" as the devs describe it. You'll need to complete a series of missions across a deserted world while battling hostile creatures, armed enemies, and other players. Completing missions grants you access to better tools and weaponry, as well as standing with various in-game factions.
We don't have a full launch date for The Cycle: Frontier yet, but the closed beta will kick off on March 10th and will run all the way through to March 28th. Make sure you're signed up long before then so you've got a chance of testing out this game. Given the popularity of games like Escape from Tarkov and Hunt: Showdown (which is also getting a TV show), here's hoping Yager manages to find a niche for The Cycle: Frontier. We'll bring you more on this one as soon as we get it.
