The Re-Legion release date has been set for the end of January. This upcoming cyberpunk real-time strategy by Ice Code Games and 1C Entertainment is shaping up to be the perfect vehicle for you to command your very own cyberpunk cult. (Well, at least until Cyberpunk 2077 comes out, depending on how those quests go.)

In Re-Legion, players get to command their very own army of minions in a futuristic city. I could wax lyrical about the finer points of the plot, but suffice it to say that you're effectively somewhere in-between cyberpunk Jesus and cyberpunk David Koresh. The best way to get a feel for the game is to check out this positively fantastic trailer that sets things up for the Re-Legion release date quite nicely:

The game was first announced in October of last year. As you can see, Re-Legion ticks all of the right boxes. It's got neon, it's got creepy cybernetic spider machine things, it's got techno music. What more could you want? And you won't have to wait too long to get your hands on it, either—the Re-Legion release date has been announced as January 31, 2019.

One of the risks of releasing a real-time strategy is the need to compete against the big boys, but Re-Legion seems to be targeting a single-player audience exclusively (at least as far as the Steam Store page is concerned). The totality of my Starcraft multiplayer experience consists of a bunch of comp stomps and falling victim to various rush strategies, so the apparent lack of multiplayer is A-Ok with me. I'd probably get my ass kicked anyway.

If Re-Legion seems like your kind of game, you'll be able to get your hands on it pretty soon: the Re-Legion release date is January 31, 2019. You'll be able to grab it on Steam for $19.99 or your regional equivalent with a 10% launch discount bringing that down to $17.99.

Are you going to buy the game on the Re-Legion release date? What do you think of the cyberpunk aesthetic? Let us know in the comments below!
