Cyberpunk 2077 VR Mod called Cyberpunk 2077 R.E.A.L. VR is expected to launch later this week, giving gamers a new way to look at Night City.

CD Projekt Red has been hard at work fixing Cyberpunk 2077, most recently with a massive update released last week. Modders, on the other hand, have been doing some hard work of their own such as fixing bugs and other issues.

Not all mods seek to repair the problems with the game's troubled launch version, though -- some mods aim to add new functionality. The Metro System mod, for example, adds the ability to actually ride the game's train system. Now, a new mod will soon launch that will let you experience Night City in VR.

The Cyberpunk 2077 VR Mod Looks Pretty Impressive

As PC Gamer reports (via Reddit), the Cyberpunk 2077 R.E.A.L. VR mod is expected to launch before the end of this week. Based on what we've seen in the above trailer, this Cyberpunk 2077 VR mod looks pretty darn good.

The Cyberpunk 2077 R.E.A.L. VR mod was created by VR modder Luke Ross. He has a fair amount of experience making non-VR games work in VR -- his previous work includes modding the Mafia franchise and Red Dead Redemption 2 to work in VR.

Sadly, this is not a full VR experience -- while this mod does allow you to look around in the world with a VR headset, there is not yet any support for VR controllers. That means you'll have to use a keyboard and mouse or a gamepad to play while you're running around Night City with your VR headset on.

You'll be able to download the Cyberpunk 2077 VR mod by supporting its creator Luke Ross on Patreon for $10 a month. And if you haven't yet played Cyberpunk 2077, now's as good a time as any to get it: you can buy Cyberpunk 2077 for PC via Steam at a 50% discount until March 1, 2022.
