The latest update for CD Projekt Red's divisive RPG is coming soon, and CD Projekt Red just announced what it'll contain. Cyberpunk 2077 update 1.2 doesn't feature any huge changes, but it fixes an absolute smorgasbord of bugs and makes some minor tweaks to make gameplay just a little bit more accessible.
What's coming in Cyberpunk 2077 update 1.2?
The full changelog for Cyberpunk 2077 update 1.2 is pretty formidable. It contains countless bug fixes in all of the game's major departments including gameplay, visuals, open-world design, and questing, amongst others. One fairly big change concerns the Night City police, who will now respond to V's crimes in a greater radius, meaning no more teleporting police. A bug concerning talking handgun Skippy and his responses to player actions has been fixed, as has a rather amusing bug involving Kerry Eurodyne's bathrobe being incorrectly attached to his lower half.
If you're still playing the console versions of Cyberpunk 2077 and haven't yet given up hope, update 1.2 contains a few console-specific changes. A PS4 issue where you couldn't drop items from your backpack has been fixed, and a number of visual issues including screen space reflections and fog rendering issues have also been fixed on Sony's console. On the Xbox, issues such as incorrect save loading if V is in a car and changing profiles on the title menu causing freezes have been fixed. Most importantly across all platforms, however, you can now buy the cat food you need to adopt Nibbles the cat at a number of food shops across Night City. If you missed out on Nibbles the first time around, it's almost worth heading back into Night City for a second jaunt just to recruit the furry little critter.
Again, there are far, far too many changes to recount here, so we recommend you take a look at the full Cyberpunk 2077 update 1.2 changelog if you want to know everything that's changed. It's worth Ctrl+F-ing your particular issue to see if it's been fixed, because reading the whole thing might take you some time. If not, there are always future updates to look forward to. There don't seem to be reports about any new bugs that have been created as a result of this update, but if you do encounter one, be sure to let us know. Cyberpunk 2077 update 1.2 is coming to PC, Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and Stadia "soon".
