Cyberpunk 2077 Hotfix 1.04 has arrived, fixing the problems with Braindances potentially triggering epileptic seizures and certain music getting a DMCA strike along with a number of other small fixes.

Thus far, Cyberpunk 2077 has already had at least one major patch post-launch and a new hotfix has arrived to fix two of the game's most pressing issues. One problem was that the game's "Braindance" sequence could potentially have triggered epileptic seizures in some people.

Adding to the game's launch troubles was the reveal that the "Disable Copyrighted Music" streamer mode still played a couple of tracks that could result in a DMCA strike. Now, both of these problems (along with some other minor issues) have been fixed in a new patch.

What's Changed in the Cyberpunk 2077 Hotfix 1.04 Patch?

Two of the most notable changes are related to the Braindance and DMCA issues noted in the preceding paragraph. The flashing effect in Braindance sequences has been modified to reduce the risk of causing any problems for people with epilepsy. As for the DMCA issue, the handful of copyrighted songs that were incorrectly enabled in streamer mode have now been properly removed.

Aside from these changes, more than a dozen fixes have arrived for the game's quest. For example, some players would no longer progress in the quest "I Fought The Law" if they had left the quest area. There weren't just progression-related fixes, though; as one example, Jackie didn't always do the best job of sitting still during "The Ripperdoc" and that problem has now been resolved.

Console players are also getting a little love in this patch: the quality of reflections has been improved for both Xbox One and PS4 to eliminate a "smudge" effect. You can read about all of the changes in the Cyberpunk 2077 Hotfix 1.04 patch notes. If you haven't yet gotten into the game, you can buy it for PC, consoles, and Stadia via its official website starting at $59.99 or your regional equivalent.
