Another Cyberpunk 2077 delay is imminent, but don't worry - it's not the game this time. CD Projekt Red has pushed back plans to discuss Cyberpunk 2077's post-launch content - i.e., story expansions and DLC - until after the game's launch next month.

When will we hear about Cyberpunk 2077's DLC?

This news comes via CD Projekt Red's quarterly earnings call, which took place on Wednesday. In the call, CDPR president Adam Kiciński said the initial plan for announcing Cyberpunk 2077 DLC was to do it prior to release. However, after the game was delayed back in October, the team decided to wait for the release "to provide gamers with the game and then start talking about future projects".

A tense standoff in Cyberpunk 2077
After numerous delays, Cyberpunk 2077 is finally set to launch on December 10th.

Unfortunately, we don't yet know exactly when CDPR will discuss Cyberpunk 2077's season pass or DLC structure. Kiciński simply said the team would be ready to talk about this aspect of the game "after release". We do know that Cyberpunk 2077 will have "no less" DLC than The Witcher 3 did (thanks, VGC), which presumably means there will be at least two major story expansions if not more, plus a raft of smaller content packs. We'll have to wait and see.

What about Cyberpunk 2077 multiplayer?

CD Projekt Red also discussed the multiplayer component of Cyberpunk 2077 in Wednesday's earnings call. Kiciński said that although the studio "[hasn't] announced any date so far" for the multiplayer's launch, the team will be ready to share information about Cyberpunk's multiplayer title "in Q1 next year". Kiciński reiterated that Cyberpunk 2077's multiplayer won't simply be a mode tacked on to the single-player game, but a standalone release in its own right. Despite this, it will "[come] from the universe of Cyberpunk and is very much related to the concept of single-player Cyberpunk", according to Kiciński.

Cyberpunk 2077 will launch for PC, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One on December 10th.
