Paradox has released the patch notes for Crusader Kings 3's Patch 1.1. As you might expect from such a massive and involved game, the list of changes is absolutely immense. Don't expect anything major; it's mostly smaller incremental changes.

What's changed in Crusader Kings 3 Patch 1.1?

This news comes via the official Crusader Kings 3 forum. Designer Alexander "rageair" Oltner revealed that the patch is going to drop for the game tomorrow. According to Oltner, the patch contains a variety of UI improvements and several bug fixes. As well as this, the dev team has addressed a number of issues players have been running into. Rather amusingly, Oltner says the patch comes in at "5.3 @Groogy in length", which - if you're not into Paradox in-jokes - indicates that it's pretty darn long. Oltner also includes more than one warning that the patch notes really are colossal and that you're only going to want to read them if you're seriously devoted.

These are just some of Crusader Kings 3's Patch 1.1 changes. Yikes.

It's pretty much impossible to point to anything and say "this is the cornerstone of Crusader Kings 3 Patch 1.1". Pikemen have had their attack lowered, so there go all your OP Pikemen strategies. You must now be at peace to create a new faith, so if you're looking to found a religion based entirely around the honor of battle, you can't do so while chopping off your enemy's head. Perhaps most excitingly, Crusader Kings 3 now contains a game concept for Gifts, so if there's a favorite vassal lord you've always wanted to gift some fragrant flowers to, there's a system for that now.

Typically involved stat-heavy gameplay in Crusader Kings 3
Fittingly for a game as in-depth as Crusader Kings 3, Patch 1.1 is absolutely loaded with changes and fixes.

Warning: there really are quite a lot of changes, so only pop that spoiler box if you've settled in with a mug of cocoa and you're ready for some perusal. You can grab Crusader Kings 3 on PC right now via Steam or via Xbox Game Pass.
