Game Developer Volition, creators of the increasingly absurd game series Saints Row, announced they will be showing off their newest game at Pax Prime this Friday. Mentioned in the description of Volitions "Quiz Show Hour" event at Pax Prime are the announcement of the new project, along with exclusive gameplay art to be revealed at the end of the panel. No mentions of the game's title, release, date, or platforms means we probably wont be expecting this new game (or potentially new franchise) until maybe Winter 2015.
The panel takes place this Friday from 10:00am to 11:00am in the Sandworm theater. Notable panelists include Volition Senior Producer Jim Boone, Creative Director Steve Joros, Voice Actress Natalie Lander who played Kinzie Kensington in Saints Row 4, and Brand Director of Deepsilver Aubrey Norris. Deep Silver is the game publishing branch of Koch Media, the parent company of Volition. Koch Media acquired Volition from THQ during its 2013 auction, outspending potential buyer Ubisoft.
