Epic has announced the next two games going free on the Epic Games Store. If you're looking to celebrate Halloween with some appropriately themed games, you can grab both Costume Quest and SOMA. Additionally, this week you can now get Layers of Fear: Masterpiece Edition and Q.U.B.E. 2.

If you haven't heard of either of next week's games, they're two fantastic ways to celebrate the season on totally different ends of the spectrum. Costume Quest is a goofy turn-based RPG about two kids looking to get candy by trick-or-treating. Along the way, they have to battle monsters that are trying to stop them and steal their candy by turning into their costumes. As for SOMA, this is a straight horror game about a woman trapped in an underwater facility with various robots. She needs to find a way to escape while avoiding being viciously murdered.

As for this week, there's a pair of games you can grab right now. Q.U.B.E. 2 is a first-person puzzle game where you play as a woman stranded in a mysterious world and needing to solve various puzzles to figure out how to get back home. You can also grab Layers of Fear: Masterpiece Edition, a first-person horror game about a painter that is slowly losing his mind. Because this is the Masterpiece Edition then it also comes with its expansion Layers of Fear: Inheritance, which follows the main character's daughter as she tries to figure out what happened to him.

You can grab Layers of Fear: Masterpiece Edition and Q.U.B.E. 2 for free until October 31st. Costume Quest and SOMA will be available from October 31st until November 7th.

How do you feel about this batch of games? Excited for any of them? How will you spend Halloween? Let us know in the comments below!
