Today, Electronic Arts revealed a lot of new features for Command & Conquer Remastered Collection, including a release date of June 5, 2020 on Steam and Origin.

Along with the release date, a whole bunch of cool things were confirmed/re-confirmed. For instance, in single-player players will be able switch over from the old graphics to the newly remastered graphics, a newly remastered 7-hour soundtrack by the original composer Frank Klepacki, a newly revamped UI, updated controls, and a map editor.

For those who will be using the map editor, there will also be Steam Workshop support for fans to showcase and share their creations. Multiplayer has been rebuilt from the ground up as well, with custom games, 1v1 quick matches, ELO-based matchmaking, leaderboards, and replays included.

“Our team has been working hand-in-hand with the C&C community since day one and we hope this transparent dialogue will result in the Command & Conquer Remastered Collection being a love letter to our fans,” said Jim Vessella, Lead Producer at EA. “We’re taking the classic gameplay that ushered in a new era of the RTS genre and adding the most fan requested features like Skirmish mode for Tiberian Dawn, quality of life control improvements, and full Steam integration with UGC support. For me personally, having been a C&C fan since I was 12 years old in 1995, working with the original Westwood Studios team members at Petroglyph has been a dream come true.”

If you are all-in on this newly remastered Command & Conquer Remastered Collection, you can also pre-order it from the main website. Pre-orders include the digital remastered versions of Red Alert and Tiberian Dawn, plus the three expansion packs that came with the original two games. There will also be a physical Special Edition for $59.99, which includes a 2-piece box that contains a Steam digital download code, a Tiberium crystal 16GB USB drive with the remastered soundtrack of 119 tracks that includes the album “Frank Klepecki and the Tiberian Sons: Celebrating 25 Years of Command & Conquer”, a reversible 18” X 24” poster, four factional enamel pins, tech tree prints (one for each faction), and a faction sticker sheet.

The 25th Anniversary Edition retails for $149.99 and includes everything from the Special Edition, along with a foil and embossed rigid box, a six-disc remastered original soundtrack signed by Frank Klepacki, a 100+ page art book, four faction patches, a reversible beanie, a metal mammoth tank replica, and painted PVC light plus sound tesla coil and obelisk replicas.
