Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War's Outbreak mode isn't supposed to be live until tomorrow, but you can play it now if you know what you're doing. If player's download the Season Two update that came out for Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War, that's the hardest part of what they have to do in order to play the new mode.
How to Play Outbreak Early
In order to play Outbreak, players have first download the update, then go offline, go ingame, and then pick Zombies. Players can then pick the offline custom games option and select either Alpine, Ruka, or Golova. According to EuroGamer it works on the PlayStation 5, and from what I've personally seen for my copy of Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War on PC, you must be logged into battle.net in order to play, which makes this little exploit unusable for PC players.
Outbreak is a Zombie mode that will give players a lot more room than what they are used to while continuing the Dark Aether storyline and hunt down new rewards, enemies, and capture objectives. In the loading screen of one of the new maps there's the Loot, Thrive, and Survive philosophies for players to use. For Loot, players will move towards the Objective, killing zombies and gathering resources. For Thrive, players will complete the Objective to earn rewards, resources, and to reveal the Beacon site location. For Survive, players then arrive at the Beacon site to upgrade. Players then have the option to warp to a new region with an increased difficulty option or attempt an exfil.
