Cities: Skylines is back with a new DLC, aimed for pleasing players with a knack for efficiency and productivity. Cities: Skylines Industries adds several brand new specialized factory buildings, fleshed out production lines for greater resource control, tighter city policies for keeping the peace and five new maps rich with opportunities to scavenge the land for natural goodies.

Factories are now more specialized than ever, with new buildings including Extractors, Warehouse Facilities, Processing, and Auxiliary Buildings. More diverse factories are also added, producing Food, Toys, Cars, and Electronics meaning a greater range of product to shift around your city.

To deal with the extra production, Cities: Skylines Industries has revamped the way your city outputs resources. You can now follow your resources from harvesting and processing, all the way to storage and transport. New transport buildings such as a specialized Cargo Airport and Postal Service should make deliveries to your citizens and beyond a joy to manage. To help manage these new systems, new Industry, and City-Wide Policies are being introduced, including Workers' Union, Sorting, Tolls, Wi-Fi, Logistic, Work Safety, and Automation policies. Should you be struggling to find more resources, 5 New Maps have also been added in Industries, letting you satisfy your inner Rockefeller.

Despite this new DLC, all players will be receiving a free update including a brand new Synthetic Dawn Radio and new options for traffic and building preservation.

Synthetic Dawn Radio features 16 original songs across four synth genres with DJ Jessica Statler hosting the funky tunes.

Players will also have the ability to place down Toll and Road Booths, which will slow down traffic but will prove useful for an additional income source. Players will also be able to mark zoned buildings as Historical, meaning they will preserve their style for years to come, meteors notwithstanding. Custom name lists for citizens, districts and spawned buildings will also be available for players.

Cities: Skylines Industries launches October 23, available on PC, Mac and Linux.
