The Cities: Skylines Campus expansion has been announced and it will be launching in just a couple of weeks! Cities: Skylines is Colossal Order's take on the city-builder genre and it's been steadily pumping out quality expansion packs for the last few years. It's now time to send the kids off to college with the addition of campuses!
Unlike what your school counselor told you, there are a good few more options than attending your local state school. Universities and trade schools are available for your citizens to enjoy, and the truly desperate and/or morally depraved can opt to attend Liberal Arts school. Additionally, seven new policies, seven new achievements, and five new maps are coming along with this DLC. You'll be able to get your hands on it soon: the Campus expansion is set to launch on Steam on May 21, 2019.
A press release from the publisher lays out the new buildings you can expect. Five different arenas for varsity sports and nine unique facilities are being added in the Cities: Skylines Campus expansion. Graduating citizens will celebrate with the appropriate ceremony. Knowing this game, it'll probably cause the same kind of traffic jams that we've all had to suffer through when we attend graduations for our own friends and family.
Cities: Skylines has been pretty great about also including free content alongside their paid expansions and this one is no different. Two new library buildings, a cheese bus yellow school bus, new job titles, and some new industry policies will be added to the game in a free update sometime later in May. The game recently celebrated its four-year anniversary.
The Cities: Skylines Campus expansion will arrive on Steam for PC, Mac, and Linux on May 21, 2019, at a price of $12.99 or your regional equivalent. You can see some of the new bits and pieces in motion in the trailer for the expansion below. In the meantime, you can add the expansion to your wishlist on Steam.
