Fourth among the games being revealed on today's Inside Xbox stream is Chorus. Produced by Fishlabs and published by Deep Silver, Chorus is a singleplayer sci-fi dogfighting game featuring two protagonists on a quest for redemption.
Chorus tells the tales of Nara, an ace pilot with a haunted past surrounding her former role in a cult, and Forsaken, a sentient AI starfighter and Nara's closest ally, with its own mysterious past. Together, the two fight against the Circle, an oppressive cult seeking complete subjugation, and their leader, the Great Prophet. Nara and Forsaken's journey will take them to a wide variety of epic locations, such as sprawling space stations and strange planes of existence beyond our own. Players will fight back against the Circle with powerful weapons, a unique drift mechanic, and mind-bending abilities like ESP and teleportation.
Tobias Severin, the Studio Development Director at Deep Silver Fishlabs, says that Chorus is a game that hopes to evolve the spirit of classic space shooters. By using the Xbox Series X hardware, Chorus will be able to feature-rich, ray-traced environments that run at 4K and 60 FPS. Tobias doesn't want to give away too much about the game and its story, but is excited to share more in the coming months.
Prepare yourself for a journey beyond the Void when Chorus releases in 2021 on the Xbox Series X and Xbox One. The game will also have Smart Delivery, meaning you only need to buy the game once to get both versions, and you'll automatically play the version suited for your console.
