The Chivalry 2 Steam release will be coming in less than a month: June 12th, 2022 to be precise. The multiplayer first-person slasher has already seen releases on the Epic Games Store, PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5, and Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S. The Standard Edition will launch for $39.99 / €39.99 / £34.99, while the Special Edition will launch for $49.99 / €49.99 / £44.99/.

What's in the next Chivalry 2 update?

The Chivalry 2 Tenosian Invasion update will launch on all supported platforms on June 12, 2022, as well, and is the largest and most ambitious update from developer Torn Banner Studios so far. There's the new Tenosian faction, new team objective and team deathmatch maps, armory weapons, weapon skins, and more. Mounted horseback combat is also coming to the franchise for the first time, and friends will be able to play crossplatform with the new Console Server Browser feature.

Here's all there is to know about the four new maps:

  • The Breach of Baudwyn (Team Objective Map): Tenosians break through a Mason Bulwark with siege equipment, including the new explosive Bombards.
  • The Razing of Askandir (Team Objective Map): Masons invade a Tenosian port city, aiming to demolish their lighthouse and burn down their massive library.
  • The Charge of Wardenglade (Team Deathmatch Map): The classic open field, now with cavalry!
  • Desert (Team Deathmatch Map): A battle on the outskirts of Baudwyn in the dark, cold night.

Players will be able to trample their foes, lash out with front or rear horse kicks, unhorse their enemy riders with their lance, and engage in melee combat with both mounted and grounded combatants.
