The Children of Morta release date has been revealed by publisher 11 bit studios. This upcoming action role-playing game puts players in command of an entire family of warriors who are trying their best to beat back the darkness and you'll soon be able to play it on PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One on September 3, 2019.

In Children of Morta, the Bergson family lives a peaceful life in a small home out in the wilderness. One day, the forces of Corruption make their appearance in a big way with a gigantic blast of magical energy that shatters the land. The Bergsons must work together to save the land from this evil by utilizing their unique skills to fight through the game's levels.

Players can initially select from one of two members of the Bergson family; they'll eventually unlock additional members as they progress through the story. Each family member has their own strengths and weaknesses, making them more or less suited for a particular battle that you may be facing. The game's levels are randomized to keep things fresh. Between rounds, you'll be able to upgrade each individual family member and the family overall through various magical means.

You won't have to wait too long to get your hands on this game: the Children of Morta release date is September 3, 2019. The Nintendo Switch version of the game will be following just a few weeks later on October 15, 2019.
