You'd think that CD Projekt RED would have their work cut out for them with releasing the Blood and Wine expansion for The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt, but it seems like the Polish developer has one extra surprise for us in store before the year is out.

This news came after CD Projekt's financial results conference at the end of last year, where the shot callers of the company laid out their plans for the coming years. The presentation given by CDP's president Adam Kiciński included a couple of slides that shed some light on the plans for this year. Thanks to DualShockers for the report and the screenshots!

We've known that they've been working on the second and final expansion to the Witcher 3 DLC season (the first one was the excellent and rather lengthy Hearts of Stone which Andrew reviewed here), but the most interesting bit in this screenshot is the "new type of videogame" that has a format that until now hasn't been explored by the company. During the presentation Kiciński said that the company is experimenting with stuff that has "never been done before". Intriguing, to say the least!

When we cast our eyes a bit further in the future, we see some pretty non-committal stuff that nevertheless hints at us getting more of what we already love, in addition to getting new in addition to branching out into other forms of digital entertainment. stuff we may fall in love with in the future.

Another thing to note is that they are working on another big budget title (which is not the same as the new game I mentioned earlier) but they remain quite vague as to what that is. The company will also be branching out into other forms of digital entertainment.

Lastly they are buckling down on marketing and supporting their older titles as well as AAA titles not affiliated with the company's development studios on their GOG storefront. GOG will also be getting support for other forms of currency and adding more languages to the store's UI. Lastly, they will also continue their support for their Early Access platform, Games in Development. GOG Galaxy, their desktop store app, is also getting a few new upgrades and tweaks.

So, even though we have nothing to go on, what do you think those mysterious new games might be?

I've been playing games since I was just barely able to walk so I might as well write about them.
