CD Projekt Red 20th Anniversary Celebration Begins

July 1, 2022

CD Projekt Red has been in the video game business since 2002, a remarkable achievement considering how volatile the industry is. Companies and developers alike are chewed up and spat out by the grinding and relentless gears of game development, so for CD Projekt Red to still be running is definitely worthy of celebration. A CD Projekt Red 20th Anniversary website has been launched to celebrate this feat, which includes a timeline showing off what they've done and a Challenge of the Day Contest. There's also more coming, so let's get into it, shall we?

What's going on with the CD Projekt Red 20th Anniversary?

For the Challenge of the Day Contest, participants in challenges 1-20 (get it?) will submit an entry and receive a 20th Anniversary Goodie Bag if a panel of CD Projekt Red members think the submitted response is the "most creative, witty, or interesting". Only one answer can be submitted, although with 20 challenges there will be a lot of chances to try and win one of the goodie bags. If you're interested in the contest, be sure to check out the rules first.

The Challenges will be available on Mondays and Thursdays, although that won't be all. There's also CD Projekt Red trivia and facts coming every Friday, and on Wednesdays, there will be streams devoted to the CD Projekt Red games. There's also more that's coming, but as of now it's under wraps and will be revealed at a later date (some Cyberpunk DLC maybe?).

Fans can also join the celebration by sharing a memory via the birthday gallery, which can range from "Cosplay, fanart, crafts, screenshots, a picture of you playing a round of a real-life GWENT with your friends", or whatever else you come up with. It could even be a picture of you returning your last-gen copy of Cyberpunk 2077 to Gamestop. The possibilities are truly endless.
