Viz Media and Rose City Games have announced Cat Lady, an upcoming game that appears to be about a lady who throws cats. No, really.

Rose City Games teamed up with Viz Media to produce three indie games over the course of the next several years. The first of these games was The World Next Door, a game that launched earlier this year and turned out to be a pretty neat title. Now that one of the games is in the bag, Rose City Games have moved on to their next project, and that project is called Cat Lady.

Wait, sorry, that was a classic clip from The Simpsons. Check out the Cat Lady Teaser Trailer to get a sense of what this game is going for. (Hint: it's going for being adorable.)

Disclaimer: Viz does not condone the throwing of cats in real life, but they find it fun in a video game.

All we know about Cat Lady (apart from what you see in the teaser trailer) is that the main character Ally Marie has arrived at her grandmother's mansion, only to find that it has been taken over by an ancient evil. Ally Marie makes the totally sensible choice of weaponizing her grandma's cats to drive out this evil. Fight fire with fire, I guess. We can infer from the splash screen at the end that there will be different types of cats, each of which will presumably be utilized in different fashions.

We're sure to be hearing more about Cat Lady in the near future. No platforms or price have been announced. In the meantime, you can find out more about this game by heading on over to its official website. You can also follow the game on Twitter and on Instagram.
