The reveal of the PlayStation Classic seemingly isn't the only bit of gaming history being revived - it appears that Castlevania: Symphony of the Night and Rondo of Blood have been rated for the PlayStation 4 in South Korea under the name of Castlevania Requiem as reported by Eurogamer.

If you're unfamiliar with the Castlevania series, they typically surround the mythos of Dracula and the efforts of the fictional Belmont clan to prevent him from returning to power and doing evil vampire things like kidnapping maidens and terrorizing villagers. Castlevania: Rondo of Blood (released as Dracula X for the SNES in the United States) and it's direct sequel Castlevania: Symphony of the Night are two excellent titles from the series that appear to be making a return in some fashion.

A page on Korea's Game Rating and Administration Committee website lists the two titles as part of a game titled Castlevania Requiem: Symphony Of The Night & Rondo Of Blood for the PlayStation 4. Rating boards typically create such a page as a reference for each individual title, so this makes a good case for the two of them being shipped together as part of one package. Searches by TechRaptor on the ESRB, PEGI, CERO, and other similar rating agencies have so far proved fruitless.

Unfortunately, there's an awful lot that we yet know about the game. Will it be a digital-only release or will players be able to pick up a physical copy? Will it be heading Westward or staying as an exclusive to the Asian region? There's also the matter of what kind of improvements we might see in the game like an adaptation to widescreen format or other similar sensibilities for a modern console, nevermind what cool extras we might get like art galleries.

We might not have to wait too long to hear more about Castlevania Requiem: Symphony Of The Night & Rondo Of Blood - the Tokyo Game Show is happening very soon and Sony will definitely be there. That would certainly be an ideal time for such an announcement.

What do you think of the possible return of Castlevania: Rondo of Blood and Castlevania: Symphony of the Night to a modern gaming system? Do you hope that it will make its way to the PC or would you prefer to play it on a console? Let us know in the comments below!
