CastleStorm 2 Release Date Delayed to Fall 2020

Pull Back to the Keep! To the Keep!

Bad news for fans of tower defense games: the Castle Storm 2 release date has been pushed back to Fall 2020.

If you're not yet familiar with CastleStorm 2, check out the Release Date Trailer to get a feel for all the cool things you can do in this upcoming game!

The first CastleStorm game was largely focused on mashing up brawlers, hack-and-slash games, and tower defense. This new sequel is adding in real-time and turn-based strategy on top of those, making for a game that's basically the best infomercial deal you've seen. It slices! It dices! It's five genres in one game!

The devs had been happily chugging along to get this game out on the original CastleStorm 2 release date of July 31, 2020. Unfortunately, it looks like the developers aren't quite going to be able to make it — they've pushed back the launch several weeks at the minimum.

"The decision to delay was made with the intention of making sure Castlestorm II is up to the standards of the team as they look forward to delivering an exciting sequel to the 4X mashup series," read a press release.

What is the New CastleStorm 2 Release Date?

Having to wait a few weeks extra for a game can be pretty lame, but it's ultimately for the best. When will you be able to get CastleStorm 2?

Unfortunately, the new CastleStorm 2 release date has not yet been announced. The developers aren't quite certain when they'll be done with the finishing touches on this upcoming game; all they've said is that they're targeting a Fall 2020 release. That means we'll get it sometime between late September and late December 2020 (assuming that it doesn't get delayed again.)

I had a blast with the first CastleStorm and I'm sure the sequel will be tons of fun. You'll have to wait a few weeks at the minimum to play the sequel; for now, you can add CastleStorm 2 to your wishlist on the Epic Games Store. You'll be able to get CastleStorm 2 for PC, PS4, Xbox One, and Nintendo Switch sometime in the Fall of 2020.

I've had a controller in my hand since I was 4 and I haven't stopped gaming since. CCGs, Tabletop Games, Pen & Paper RPGs - I've tried a whole bunch of stuff over the years and I'm always looking to try more!
