The seventh of the eight expansion teams for Season 2 of the Overwatch League has been revealed as the Vancouver Titans according to an announcement on the league's official website.

Canadian fans of Blizzard's first-person shooter Overwatch were fortunate to get two teams representing their country for the second season of the Overwatch League. The Toronto Defiant was first revealed at the end of October 2018 as one of the eight expansion teams joining the league for season 2. They are now being joined by the Vancouver Titans.

The Vancouver Titans will be clad in blue and green with white accents, representing the lush greenery of the city and the beautiful waters of the Pacific Ocean. Their logo is a sasquatch, a legendary mythical figure of the Pacific Northwest. Strangely, the team decided against using Winston to show off their skins. They instead elected to go with Ana and Junkrat for their debut.

This particular Overwatch League team is being managed by the Aquilini Group, owned by wealthy investor Francesco Aquilini. The man has a penchant for picking up sports franchises, owning several within the Canucks Sports & Entertainment company. Mr. Aquilini's other holdings include the Vancouver Canucks, the Utica Comets, and Rogers Arena. The arena, in particular, will likely be a good choice for the home stage of the Vancouver Titans when the Overwatch League starts hosting games in the city's teams in a later season. This appears to be the company's first Esports venture.

A leak of the eight expansion teams was notably missing Vancouver's name and logo entirely. The identity of the team had been the one remaining mystery as all of the other team names and logos turned out to be legitimate.

You can follow the Vancouver Titans on Twitter, Instagram, Facebook, and Twitch. The second season of the Overwatch League will begin on February 14, 2018.

What do you think of the Vancouver Titans colors and branding? Do you like their name? How do you feel about their choice of a logo? Let us know in the comments below!
