Activision has announced a new 'Variety' Map Pack for call of Duty: Modern Warfare Remastered. This map pack adds 4 new maps to the game's multiplayer mode, bringing the grand total of all map packs in the game up to 14. These maps will be updated versions of maps found in the original Modern Warfare.
The Variety Map Pack contains some of the most epic maps in Modern Warfare history, allowing you to experience four classic locations in all of their remastered glory across a range of different environments. Here's a quick summary of what you can expect once the DLC gets released later this month.
Broadcast
This map features a TV studio based on the station from the 'Charlie Don't Surf' mission found in the game's campaign. Due to the map's limited space, you'll have to be prepared for lots of close-range combat when you're not in the large and open parking lot.
Chinatown
This map takes place in a map inspired by the 'Carentan' multiplayer map found in the original game. This map is night-time only and is mired in fog where you'll only have a split screen to react as the enemy team emerges from the mist. On this map, you'll need to try to flush the enemy out of many of the hiding spots in this open map.
Creek
This map takes you to a dilapidated village torn apart by war. The map is divided up into two pieces, with a deep ravine splitting the village in two. Due to this map being in the middle of a forest, there are plenty of spaces to hide from the enemy or from which you can ambush them. Snipers will have plenty of places to hide themselves in while they pick off their targets one by one.
Killhouse
This map takes place in a small military training facility filled with mock buildings and passages where you'll mostly be engaging enemy teams in close combat that can turn at any moment.
The Variety Map Pack for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Remastered will be available on PlayStation 4 on March 21, with the Xbox One and PC coming at some undisclosed point in the not too distant future.
