In a move that surprises pretty much no one, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 Remastered has been officially announced by Activision. This shiny new remake of this classic shooter's campaign is finally being revealed.

Check out the official trailer to see the cool new graphics in motion:

If you've been living under a rock, you might not have heard about this remaster making its way to your nearest gaming console. A recent Call of Duty: Modern Warfare patch had an update which mentioned Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 Remastered, all but assuring that we would be getting the game sometime soon.

Since then, dataminers had been hard at work digging up content about the game, and an accidental early release on the German PlayStation Store allowed some lucky few gamers to get in early. Basically, you can see the entire campaign on YouTube right now if you felt so inclined, though it's probably not as good as playing it.

Where Can You Get Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 Remastered?

There's good news and bad news. Modern Warfare 2 Remastered is out right now on the PlayStation Store! If you're on other platforms, however, you're going to have to wait.

The official Call of Duty website notes that pre-purchase for the Xbox One and Blizzard Battle.net verisons will be beginning shortly. However, gamers on those platforms will have to wait a month — it's not launching there until April 30, 2020.

For now, those of you who want to play this game on the PS4 can pick it up on the PlayStation Store for $19.99 or your regional equivalent.
